ART FLEX
Process

ART FLEX shrinks under temperature of 100 to 120 ℃. If all of the applied artflex is heated at once, an air bubble would be formed on the surface. There are 2 key points for successful processing. ①Start heating the tube drom one end to the other. ②Heat the tube slowly to release the air completely.

Shrinking Temperature

ART FLEX is a heat shrinking tube. The tube starts shrinking within the range of 100℃ to 120 ℃ and sticks to a component. If the temperature rises too high, the surface of the tube will start to melt. Please process the tube in the range of 100℃ to 120 ℃.

Decoration Size of a Temple End Tip

When inserting the tube, it should pass over any decoration on a temple end tip completely. It is necessary to make decorations that are smaller than the inside diameter of ART FLEX (including tolerance).

How to cut the tube?

ARTFLEX has to be cut little longer than tha component which you apply the tube to.
We recommend that B is 2% longer than A. The final length should be decided after testing.

Processing heater

We recommend to use an U-shaped heater for processing ARTFLEX to let it equally heated. Temprature controllable oven or industrial dryer can also be used for processing.

Procedure

1.Shrink one side of ARTFLEX. Firstly, apporoximately 2cm of the tube should be heated and shrunk to fix the correct position.

process01

2.Clip the other side of the tube as shown in the image. Release the air inside of the tube toward the clip as the black arrow shows.

process02

3.Take out the clip and heat marks of the clip to make smooth surface.
